Do you want to work at sporting events but are unsure what you can and cannot do, and how to go about it?

Maybe you want to support your local club, or work at sporting events near you?

Regardless if it’s running, cycling, roller derbies, golf, chess or yoga days, massage can be utilised as a tool of preparing muscles beforehand, or loosening up between or after. Or even heighten concentration an calm the nerves (without sending them to sleep!).

If you are unsure which techniques and massage strokes to use, what to avoid, how to recognise injury and problems like heatstroke and dehydration, and what legal requirements you have to fulfil, this day is for you.

A day for MTI qualified massage therapists (level 4). You do NOT have to be sports massage trained to attend this day! Sports massage trained people who want to brush up their knowledge are however welcome.

This day looks at how you can best use the techniques you already know, at the right time, and at the right depth.

Get prepared to work at sporting events to learn the A to Z of post-, inter and post-event massage:

– When to massage and how long for
– What event-specific massage strokes and techniques to use in order to best support the sportsperson
– What to bring
– Risk assessment and legal requirements
– Injury awareness, Injury grades and principles of soft tissue healing
– Common conditions and signs of potential problems like heatstroke (hyperthermia), hypothermia, dehydration, hypoglycemia, and more

A day packed with information to best prepare you for sporting events!
