| Indian Head Massage with Vicky Gaughan The popularity of IHM has grwon hugely over the last decade, where do you not see Indian Head massage? On this course you'll learn how to deliver IHM and understand where & how this massage approach can be used; as a treatment in it's own right, as a marketing tool for your massage practice and as a journey of personal growth for your self. In it's country of origin, IHM is referred to as SHIROABHYANGA: shiro = head and Abhyanga = massage. It is common in some courses to leave out the background details to concentrate on a more westernised, diluted version of a very ancient aspect of Ayurveda. In this course, over 5 months we will emmerse ourselves in the metaphorical pool of which IHM is a mere drop! This is an MTI accredited course teaching in depth Indian Head Massage. Students will explore three overarching themes that are interconnected: todays IHM, the roots of IHM and IHM with integrity. | 2 full weekends spanning 5 months (with guided learning and case studies in between weekends) - 9th & 10th June 2012 & 28th & 29th September 2012 |
